Captain Phillips Electro's Intergalactic Root Beer

Captain Phillips Electro's Intergalactic root beer is made by Phillips Soda Works, which is located in Victoria, B.C. Phillips started making their soda back in November of 2012. My root beer buddy from Canada sent this one to me! Thanks AM!  Ok...I have to say how much I love their label. It's very retro and they use unique 12oz bottles too. This has to be the longest name ever given to a root beer....kind of exhausting to say.. Ha Ha. Well, this brew produces a very thick and frothy head, a one of a kind if you will. It honestly took me almost 5min to pour my bottle. This brew is rather complex and full bodied. There are so many flavors jumping out at you, it's kind of hard to keep track of them all. It's got a smooth vanilla sassafras flavor with some subtle cinnamon and wintergreen in there too. The bite is unique because black pepper makes itself known. I've never tasted black pepper in a brew before. Phillips was absolutely thinking outside the box when creating this masterpiece. 9.5/10.
