Crown Brewing Root Beer

Crown Brewing was founded in 2008 and is located in Crown Point, Indiana. The "Crown" name was brought back to life. Crown Brewing closed in 1916, which was quite prominent in the early 1900's. They decided to have a craft soda festival and thought this would be the perfect stage to introduce their bottled root beer. This is a big deal to me because most breweries just offer soda on tap. They went all out on this label. It's very colorful and commands attention. A decent head was built as I pored this brew into my trusty mug. Nothing really is jumping out at me here. It is very smooth has a creamy mouth feel to it. They sweeten their sodas with the finest raw sugar cane and even use water from Lake Michigan. I'm really enjoying the wintergreen and and vanilla, which really make themselves known in the finish. One thing is for sure....this is a solid root beer! 8.5/10.
